Knight Monsters Return Home in Style with 5-1 Win

STATELINE, NV- Winning at home is just more fun. In their first home game in over two weeks, the Tahoe Knight Monsters took down the Idaho Steelheads 5-1. Logan Nelson scored twice, Jesper Vikman made 26 saves, and Tahoe scored four times in the third to secure a series-opening win. The contest began with forward Anthony Collins starting in his 600th career ECHL game. West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies get a game winning power play goal from Mick Messner 11:57 into the third period as they defeated the Allen Americans 6-5 on a Wednesday night at Maverik Center. Keaton Mastrodonato had a big game for the Grizzlies as he scored 2 goals and 2 assists. Utah's Reilly Connors scored his first professional goal on a one-timer from the right wing 1:21 into the contest. Fuel Win Shootout Battle in Adirondack

GLENS FALLS- The Fuel headed to Glens Falls, New York to take on the Adirondack Thunder in the first of a three-game set this week while they continue their battle for fourth place in the Central division. After a late game comeback for Indy, they forced the shootout and took the 3-2 victory. 1ST PERIOD Things started off slowly until seemingly out of nowhere, Dakota Seaman and Brendan Less dropped the gloves and each earned five minutes for fighting at 5:40. CHARLOTTE, NC - The Checkers took it to the Bruins for the second straight night, this time battling back to complete the midweek sweep and clinch a spot in the Calder Cup Playoffs. The first period was a tight stalemate until Trevor Carrick threaded a shot in on the power-play to open the scoring, but the second period belonged to the visitors, as Providence tallied back-to-back goals to claim the lead heading into the third.
